At Star Lawn, we understand that plans for weddings, receptions, celebrations and other special occasions may sometimes change. This policy explains how cancellations, postponements, booking amounts and refunds are handled for venue bookings and related services.

Booking Confirmation
A venue booking at Star Lawn is considered confirmed only after the required booking amount or advance payment has been received and the booking has been acknowledged by the Star Lawn team.
A tentative enquiry or date discussion does not by itself guarantee availability or reserve a particular date, hall, lawn or event space.
Cancellation by the Client
If a confirmed booking is cancelled by the client, the refund, if applicable, will depend on the timing of the cancellation, the amount already paid and the terms communicated at the time of booking.
Certain amounts may be non-refundable where costs, preparations or commitments have already been incurred in connection with the event.
Clients are advised to review the booking terms provided at the time of confirmation before cancelling an event.
Advance & Booking Amount
The advance or booking amount paid to secure an event date may be treated as a reservation amount and may not automatically be refundable upon cancellation.
The applicable treatment of the advance payment will be based on the agreed booking terms, event date, cancellation circumstances and services already arranged.
Postponement or Change of Event Date
If a client wishes to postpone an event instead of cancelling it, Star Lawn may consider the request subject to availability of the requested alternative date.
A change of date may be subject to revised pricing, seasonal rates, availability, vendor commitments or other applicable booking conditions.
A postponement request should be communicated to the Star Lawn team as early as reasonably possible.
Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved, it will generally be processed through the original payment method or another mutually agreed method, subject to applicable banking and payment-processing requirements.
Processing time may vary depending on the payment method and financial institution involved.
Services & Additional Arrangements
Where an event includes additional arrangements such as catering, decoration, equipment, entertainment, photography, transportation or other third-party services, cancellation or refund terms may also depend on the respective service provider and the terms applicable to that service.
Costs already committed to third-party suppliers may be deducted from any refund where permitted under the agreed terms.
Cancellation by Star Lawn
In exceptional circumstances, Star Lawn may be required to cancel or modify an event booking due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, operational restrictions, government directions, safety concerns or other unforeseen circumstances.
Where Star Lawn cancels a confirmed booking, the parties will discuss the available options, which may include rescheduling the event or processing an applicable refund in accordance with the booking terms.
Non-Refundable Amounts
Certain payments may be identified as non-refundable at the time of booking. These may include amounts relating to date reservation, advance commitments, customised arrangements or costs already incurred.
Any specific non-refundable component should be communicated to the client as part of the applicable booking terms.
Requesting a Cancellation
Cancellation requests should be communicated to the Star Lawn team through the contact details provided on the official website or in the booking documentation.
Clients may be requested to provide booking details and other information reasonably necessary to verify the booking before a cancellation or refund request is processed.

If you have any concern regarding a cancellation, postponement or refund, we encourage you to contact Star Lawn so that the matter can be reviewed with reference to the relevant booking records and agreed terms.
Any refund or cancellation decision will be considered in accordance with the applicable booking agreement and applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
Star Lawn may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its services, booking procedures or applicable requirements.
